Edgewood College has an immediate
opportunity for a Director of Grants.
Responsibilities: Lead grant proposal teams in the preparation of proposals to fund College endeavors and to support and revitalize existing programs and services. This includes coordination of organizational meetings with faculty/staff to discuss funding organization guidelines, generate ideas, design projects and write/review sections of the proposal; research funding opportunities (federal, state and private agencies or foundations) that are consistent with the College’s top priorities (determined by the President’s leadership team) and maintain a data base of grant opportunities to disseminate grant application information to faculty, staff and other constituents of the College; assist with establishing institutional protocol and managing grant reporting requirements and maintain a data base to track grant submissions and results; review all grant proposals to verify the following: alignment with College fund development priorities, proper Edgewood College administrative approval has been received, compliance with granting organizations requirements; develop and maintain relationships with community organizations for the purpose of partnering with Edgewood College in grant proposals; facilitate learning opportunities that provide technical assistance to College staff, faculty, administrators and teams in the area of grant writing; provide information about proposal development strategies, policies and procedures related to grants, grant terminology, grant management and other grant-related topics; and assist with events and other operations of the Office of Institutional Advancement. Limited travel is required with this position.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree is preferred; minimum of five years experience as a successful grant writer in higher education or non-profit institutions; and expertise in government funding opportunities.
