Instructional Laboratory Technician – Physical/Natural Sciences (Review Date August 6, 2008): Under the supervision of the Division Dean, and under the direction of department chairs, department instructors and appropriate lab coordinator, performs a variety of technical and specialized duties related to the preparation, operation and maintenance of physical/natural science laboratories and related areas; operates and demonstrates the use of specialized equipment and instructional materials; provides information and technical assistance to faculty and students. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Instructional Computer Laboratory Technician – Biology
(Review Date August 7, 2008): Under the supervision of the Department Chair in conjunction with the Division Dean, and with the direction of the Department instructors and the Biology Laboratory Coordinator, performs a variety of technical and specialized duties related to the preparation, operation, and maintenance of the Instructional Biology Computer Laboratory facility, tutorials and instructional media, the Department web site and biology faculty web sites, and biology classrooms. Develops, reviews and/or recommends, operates, demonstrates and assists in the use of specialized computer hardware and software; and provides information and technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students. As time permits, performs other duties as assigned, which may include but is not limited to assisting with the preparation, set up and clean up of adjacent biology laboratory classrooms.
